Apple recently began contacting former employees asking them to come back part time August 15th through to September 15th to work in their Apple Stores, presumably in time for the rumored iPhone 5 release. The email claims they need extra staff to assist them with the holidays, new product launches and the back to school time. The new product launch seems to be the iPhone 5, potentially newer models of the iPod touch which is expected to get 3G and GPS and a new iPad rumored to have a retina display. However this would be probably called the iPad Pro, not the iPad 3.
Various improvements are expected with regards the iPhone 5, notably a dual core processor, higher capacities/storage space and an 8 megapixel camera. The case may also be getting a redesign.
