What is iMessage?

For those who haven’t know iMessage yet, iMessage is the new messaging system for all iOS users including iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. iMessage creates a new way for all iOS users to communicate regardless of the device.
So, when you have a family with iPad and friend with iPod Touch, you may contact them using iMessage, share photos, videos, texting, as long as they are using iMessage as well. On the next era of iDevice users, iPhone is not only one who will have Messaging app, but both iPod Touch and iPad will also have Messages app, starting from iOS 5.

If you already have iOS 5 installed on iPod Touch or iPad, you will see the messages icon app on the homescreen, just like on the iPhone.

Is there iMessage app? Can I download iMessage on iTunes store for free?
Fortunately, there won’t be additional charge for this great feature. You don’t need to download iMessage like other premium apps on iTunes store. iMessage is already integrated to Messages app on iOS 5.

Messages app on iOS 4 only supports texting messages, but starting from iOS 5, you will be able to send alot of other stuff like photos, video, and other supported things with Messages app on iOS 5 if you activated the iMessage feature already.
