Cydia Tweak: IconLock7 Stops iOS Icons Being Moved, Deleted Under iOS 7

Granted, nobody’s ever picked up my iPhone and moved or deleted an iOS app against my will, but if this is a concern of yours then one new jailbreak tweak can help put your mind at rest. Called IconLock7, the new package can be downloaded in the App Store free of charge and is optimized for both iOS 7 and ARM64-devices.
IconLock has been available in the Cydia Store for some time, but the new IconLock7 adds support for iOS 7 and Apple’s newer iOS devices to the mix. It’s a simple enough package: once installed, users can enable a passcode upon first configuring iOS apps from within “wiggly mode,” and from hereon in iOS device users will need to enter this password before moving or deleting an installed app.
You can set and enter passcodes using a pop-up text box that appears at the Home screen, though it should be stressed that the jailbreak tweak doesn’task users to verify inputted passcodes, so you’ll need to be extra careful when setting your passcode originally.
Also problematic is that there’s no IconLock7 preferences pane in the Settings app, meaning users can’t reset their passcode unless they delete and then reinstall the package using the Cydia application. However, this is a free jailbreak tweak, and so it’s unfair to complain too much. Hopefully the package’s developer, Home School Dev, will update LockScreen7 accordingly in the near future.
As mentioned, you can pick up the package free of charge in the Cydia Store.
