Enable Straight Talk MMS on iPhone 5
iPhone 5 MMS on Straight Talk is not working by default.
This guide will help you to enable Straight Talk MMS settings on iPhone 5. It has been tested on Verizon iPhone 5 as well as AT&T iPhone 5. Not tested on Sprint iPhone 5, please report here if it works for your Sprint iPhone 5 too.

Steps to activate Straight Talk MMS on iPhone 5
- Turn off LTE settings on the iPhone.
Tap Settings → General → Cellular → Enable LTE. Toggle it to turn OFF the LTE.
Because you don’t need LTE on Straight Talk anyway, it saves battery’s life too.
- Skip this step if you never did it. If you previously installed Straight Talk APN settings from unlockit.co.nz on your iPhone 5, remove that profile first.
- Press the Home button twice to activate multi-tasking bar and close all opened apps by holding the apps and tap ‘x’ button of each apps.
- Now open the Notes app
- Tap Settings → General
- Insert the T-Mobile nano SIM which will bring up the Cellular option. (You can use brand new/unactivated/old T-Mobile SIM)
- Tap Settings → General → Reset → Reset Network Settings → Tap the red Reset Network Settings button to confirm.
- Still in General options, tap Cellular → Cellular Data Network when the option shows up on your iPhone.
- Don’t do anything on your iPhone screen and then immediately take out the T-Mobile SIM and put the Straight Talk SIM into the iPhone.
- Double-tap Home button to bring-up Multitasking bar and then switch between Cellular Data Network and the Notes app back and forth until the default non-working data & MMS APN are automatically entered. Keep waiting until the default APN settings show up.
- Once the APN settings show up, you’ll need to enter Straight Talk APN Settings manually by using these settings:
Cellular Data
APN: att.mvno
Username: *blank*
Password: *blank*MMS
APN: att.mvno
Username: *blank*
Password: *blank*MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.33:80
MMS Max Message Size: 1048576
MMS UA Prof URL: http://www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf - And when you’re done with the Straight Talk APN Settings, toggle Airplane Mode ON and OFF from the Settings.
- Turn your iPhone off and then back on.
- And now the Straight Talk Data & MMS should be working. Turn your iPhone OFF and back ON again one more time.
- Now the Data should be working but MMS probably not. If that happens, tap Settings → Cellular → then toggle Cellular Data option OFF and ON and you should get a working Straigth Talk MMS on your iPhone as normal.
Sometimes, this Straight Talk MMS settings suddenly stops working, but do not panic. Simply turn OFF and ON the Celluar Data option and try again. Repeat until the MMS working again!
If it’s not working for you, reset the network settings and try again.
