Force Close/Exit Stuck Apps on iPhone iPod iPad
January 23, 2012 in iPhone How-to & Tutorial by
Most of the iOS apps, whether for the iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad, are fairly stable and work every time, while some of iOS apps in some cases not responding and quit or, worse, get “stuck” while being used and result in frozen apps, forcing you to restart the apps or device itself to make it work just as before.
So, what to do when you found stuck apps on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad?
Follow this procedure, it will fully shutdown the iOS app and remove the app’s saved state from your device’s memory. Remember that it will force the stuck apps to be closed, hence you may lost the current information/progress on the apps.
- Press and Hold down the sleep/power button until you see Slide to Power Off slide bar.
- Press and hold the iPhone home button. Keep holding the button until the Slide to Power Off slide bar disappears and the application quits back to Springboard.
Now the app has been closed and you may re-launch the app.
