Apple just releases iOS 5 GM (Gold Master) to developers.
What is Golden Master IPSW?

Golden Master is a term for the finished iOS. There is Pre Alpha, Alpha, Beta, RC (Release Client) then it goes Gold Master. There is no difference between the final iOS and Gold Master. Gold Master is a term to indicate the OS is ready to ship, the final revision, unless there is a critical bug.

If you are an iOS paid developer, you can simply sign-in to iOS Dev Center to download iOS 5 GM release.

iOS 5 will be available for public October 12th, 2 days before the iPhone 4S release date.

For non-developer with UDID registered, you can find iOS 5 GM IPSW files from Google search.
Open Google.com and paste the IPSW filename of your device using these reference as keyword on Google search. Or, you can simply click on the link to search the download links of iOS 5 GM on Google straight away.

Notes on GM version:

Users “must use iTunes 10.5 beta 7 to install iOS 5 GM seed on your devices. iOS 5 GM seed is not available via over the air software update” and requires the users to back up their devices via iCloud before installing the GM.

You can find .torrent files from ISOhunt.com or ThePirateBay.com then look for iOS 5 GM. A torrent software client such as bittorrent or utorrent is required to download iOS 5 from torrent network.
