Waiting for iOS 5.0.1 Untethered Jailbreak?

Your dream comes true. Yesterday, pod2g already shown his untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0 on his iPod Touch 3G and planned to give it a try on iOS 5.0.1 as well. Today, pod2g confirmed via his twitter account that untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 is working as well, specifically on iPhone 4.

Furthermore, he will be doing more test on iPod 3G, iPod 4G, iPad 1 for iOS 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak.

Got an untethered iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1. Feel free to update.
Of course, if you want to SIM unlock, don’t update using Apple’s original FW nor update OTA.

If you need to unlock on iOS 5.0.1, you should not update to iOS 5.0.1 stock firmware, but update 5.0.1 custom firmware instead.
