iOS 5 beta 1 jailbreak found
June 7, 2011 in iPhone News & Rumors by
Since iOS 5 introduced to the public by Apple through Apple WWDC 2011 event, developer was able to install and testing beta version of iOS 5, the next major version of iPhone OS (iOS). While we are still surprised with top 10 features of iOS 5 and more 200 features for users, MuscleNerd had another surprise. MuscleNerd is member of iPhone Dev-Team, well-known iPhone hackers for jailbreak and unlock.
Through his Twitter account @MuscleNerd, he uploaded two pictures of his iPod Touch 4th-gen which were already using iOS 5 beta 1 with Cydia icon on the Homescreen.
What is that mean?
Yes, you know it means that his iPod touch has already jailbroken.
Original MuscleNerd’s tweet about his jailbroken iPod touch:
@MuscleNerd: iOS5 jailbroken on ipt4g: http://is.gd/7GxIcK http://is.gd/BwPvfh via limera1n + tethered boot..not too many surprises :)
Here are two pictures of MuscleNerd’s iPod Touch 4G showing that iOS 5 beta 1 jailbreak has found.

MuscleNerd claimed that he was using limera1n exploit to jailbreak iOS 5 beta 1, also tethered boot which means you need to re-jailbreak each time the device reboot or restarted.
However, wishing iOS 5 jailbreak is too soon since it’s just the begin of iOS 5, Apple may patch the jailbreak exploit in the next iOS 5 updates, such as: iOS 5 beta 2 or the jailbreak exploit will be closed on final iOS 5. If you are jailbreakers addict, we recommend you to stay on iOS 4.
Stay tuned for the latest news about iOS 5 jailbreak!
