iOS 7.1 Scheduled for Release in March

in iPhone News & Rumors by

iOS 7.1 is currently scheduled for release in March, according to 9to5Mac’s trusted source. This year, it is thought that the iOS in the Car feature could be holding back the release. This feature will allow owners of certain autos to have their iPhone screen and settings show up on the dashboard of selected vehicles.

iOS 7.1 Update

It takes a little longer than expected for Apple to get iOS 7.1 ready to launch and the company is expected to launch iOS 8 just three months later during WWDC in June.

9to5Mac says that Apple isn’t planning any other major surprises for the release, however. Apple launched iOS 7.1 beta 5 earlier this week for developers. Just like previous iOS beta versions, it contains little more than bug fixes and New Natural Siri Voices for Japanese, Mandarin, and Australian and U.K. English in addition to the updates. Also some improvements like a new “Button Shapes” option in Accessibility, keyboard tweaks that indicate shift and caps locks, a new event list view within the Calendar app and refined icons for the Phone, FaceTime, and Messages app.
