How much is iPad 3 memory going to be?

BGR has posted a photos of leaked iPad 3 prototype last month, which lead us to speculation that iPad 3 will have A6 quad-core processor and LTE network compatibility and the rest of iPad 3 specification which can be seen on our previous post.

But, how much RAM will iPad 3 have?

According to ChronicWire based on the photos, this line get us into a speculation that iPad 3 will have 1 GB of RAM.

vm_page_bootstrap: 244276 free pages and 8396 wired pages

244,276 (pages) x 4,096 bytes (size of a page) = 1,000,554,496 bytes = 1GB (rounded)

as explained by chpwn.

So, in case the source of BGR who leaked these photos were accurate, we are going to have 1 GB of RAM, A6 Quad-core processor, and LTE-enabled on the new Apple iPad 3 / Apple iPad HD, whichever the name shall be.
