iPhone 6 price, specs, release date rumours – could ship in two screen sizes

The next iPhone will have many updated features including a bigger screen size of 4.7 inches and a higher resolution display. If trends are to be believed, the next iPhone will be launched in the month of May with two screen sizes option and it is all set to create a benchmark in the smartphone industry.

As per the News Reports

According to Japanese tech publication MacFun, the 5in screen will have a Full HD resolution of 1,920×1,080. From a certain point of view this makes a lot of sense, as there are already a lot of Full HD phones out there. However, we think that the resolution could be wrong, mostly because of the way that Apple works.

According to Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, Apple is set to launch a new phablet alongside the iPhone 6, with a 5.6in screen size. The site is reporting that Apple will not launch this product under the iPhone brand. There’s no information as to what the product will be called, but it’s possible that it could fall under the iPad category.

According to Digitimes and its supply chain sources, Apple is gearing up for a May launch of the new iPhone.

iPhone ‘Lite’ leaked online, it’s even jailbroken

A prototype of a iPhone 4 lite

Although the rumor mill has been going on about a potential iPhone Nano/Lite we haven’t seen any images of said device. Now finally something emerges from Tinhte. This isn’t a iPhone 5 but rather a lite version of the iPhone 4.

Typically this would be instantly dismissed but Tinhte has been right in the past and so it’s worth checking out.

The so-called iPhone Lite is effectively a iPhone 4 without the front and back glass panels, rather being replaced with two translucent plastic panels and along with the metal banding around the edge of the phone. This will be much cheaper to manufacture, allowing it to be sold at a reasonable price on pre-paid plans.

A cheaper iPhone makes sense as at the moment the only feasible way to get a iPhone is on a contract. Some people can’t get contacts and so Apple need to get something for the pre-pay market.

iPod Touch 3G is now almost certain

The iTunes page on the Apple site shows the iPod Touch with a 3G signal bar

We mentioned the iPod touch might get 3G and GPS two days ago, and now some more proof has emerged. Now on the iTunes page on the Apple website the iPod touch is clearly shown with a 3G signal bar along with the 3G text. This would make sense regarding iTunes Cloud, allowing you to stream/download files in your iCloud account on the go along with automatically uploading the pictures from your device to iCloud.
