Ragdoll Blaster 2 is not letting others to break ice from the top spot. Lot of you must be thinking dies “Ragdoll Blaster 2“deservers the top spot? Why not other free Apps which have more dynamic graphics and game play steal the position? So to feed oxygen to our confusing viewers SENSEIPHONE conducted a review.
If we look at very first Ragdoll Blaster the we loved the ragdoll physics, puzzler and cannon-fed craziness and it came out – a great, sketchy, hand drawn game in which you controlled the movement of a cannon to fire ragdoll figures at a target, within increasingly complex physically-modelled worlds.
The first thing to emphasise is Ragdoll Blaster 2 delivers everything you’d expect from a sequel. It’s bigger: now with 150 levels. It’s better at least in terms of general presentation, graphics and audio. There’s more complexity in the gravity effects, teleporters, switches, and other various mechanical contraptions you have to deal with. In Ragdoll Blaster 2 the goal of each level is to hit the red target by shooting ragdolls. While this may look like an easy task, players will observe that later in the game, the target is protected by various objects which must be cleared in order to reach the final goal. The cannon can be moved by using the ragdolls, but if the player uses too many ragdolls the final score will be affected.
Ragdoll Blaster 2 offers 150 levels as well as real gravity effects. The game’s difficulty will gradually increase therefore players will start the game with basic levels, and finish it by playing very hard stages. During the game, players can save the game at any point and according to iTunes; Ragdoll Blaster 2 features an award system available to every player. Ragdoll Blaster 2 was rated 4+ by Apple and the downloadable file size is of 62.5 MB.
The game also feels much more solid, particularly in terms of the user interface, options, and integration with the Plus+ social gaming network, which is used for awards and leader boards.
However, as much as I enjoy it I’m not sure it has the immediacy of the original.
Equally, I’d expect Ragdoll Blaster 2 to sell by the App Store-load too. It’s already in the US top 10 and will no doubt stay there for months.
Maybe I’m just shedding a tear for something that’s long lost, even if it was ever there. In that context, Ragdoll Blaster 2 is a really good game: bigger and better, but also fundamentally more of the same.
