SMSPrefix cydia tweak is created to add prefix / code in your SMS text in order to get SMS delivery report on iPhone. It was created by Francois Guillemé, the same guy behind iPhoneDelivery cydia tweak. So, basically SMSPrefix is a temporary solution for iPhone 4S users who want to get SMS delivery report on their device since the iPhoneDelivery is yet to be compatible with iPhone 4S device.

Once iPhoneDelivery has been fully updated to be compatible with the iPhone 4S, you can remove SMSPrefix right away. If you have biteSMS or iRealSMS cydia app and prefer to have delivery report occasionally, you may add delivery report prefix into SMS template. However, SMSPrefix is free and you will always get notification from delivered SMS texts, as long as your carrier supports delivery report and your message contains less than 160 characters.

Remember: This report is sent as a normal SMS message by your carrier, you may get charged for these SMS reports.

Install SMSPrefix as usual, it’s available on the same iPhoneDelivery repo. If you are new into this, here is the basic guide:

  1. Open Cydia app and Add this cydia repo: http://iphonedelivery.advinux.com/cydia OR http://cydia.iphonedelivery.fr (skip if it already exists)
  2. If you have successfully added the repo without problem, search and install from cydia the following package:
    SMSPrefix
    OR
Simply tap the Site officiel de iPhoneDel… repo and install SMSPrefix package.
  3. Once installed, you can configure the correct prefix according to your carrier in SMSPrefix setting.
  4. Tap Settings → SMSPrefix → input delivery report prefix for your carrier.

Cydia SMSPrefix Settings Delivery Report iPhone

Click to see Complete List of Carriers Prefix/Code for SMS Delivery Report.

SMSPrefix Code for Delivery Report iPhone Cydia

Now you can send text as normal without typing the prefix manually each time you send SMS text message.
