1. Verify your installed iOS version: make sure that the version is 6.1

1. Download evasi0n for Mac

1. Again: ALWAYS create backup of the device to prevent any data loss

• Double-click on evasi0n-mac-1.0.dmg to mount and drag the evasi0n application to your desktop.

• Double click to launch the evasi0n application from your desktop.

• Right click (or Control+Click) the Evasi0n app icon then select Open from the contextual menu to launch the application. If prompted to confirm, click the Open button again.

  

• As requested, please connect the iPhone 5 to the computer using the usb lightning cable.

  

  

   

• As soon as iPhone 5 plugged-in, evasi0n will automatically identify your current device and also the installed iOS version. Click Jailbreak button to begin.

  

• Then, evasi0n will be trying to jailbreak your iPhone 5 within several processes: generate jailbreak data, inject stage 1 jailbreak data, reboot the device, wait for the device to be ready, inject stage 2 jailbreak data, upload Cydia, and upload the Cydia packages list.
  
• Then, you will then be asked to ‘slide to unlock’ your iPhone and tap the new ‘Jailbreak‘ app icon. You only need to tap the app once and it will opened and immediately close.
• That is the only thing you need to do, evasi0n continues its job: inject the remount payload, remount the root filesystem, prepare the final jailbreak data, inject the final jailbreak data, and complete.
• Your iPhone will reboot a few times to complete the jailbreak. Once it goes back to the homescreen, you should see Cydia app on the home screen.

• Open evasi0n-win-1.0.zip and extract the content to Desktop.

• Double click evasi0n.exe

• As requested, please connect the to the computer using the usb lightning cable.
