Earlier today, @p0sixninja, the member of Chronic Dev team was going to give a “surprise” for jailbreak community. Well, regarding to jailbreak community, it must be untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1, iOS 5.0.1 (and upcoming iOS 5.0.2), and of course the untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S.

Forget about 5 different exploits which has been told by p0sixninja on JailbreakCon talk in September. Apple already patched the exploits for iOS untethered jailbreak (well, only a (critical) few of those exploits were closed). Hence, the new jailbreak is not going to be released soon.

BUT

You can help them to discover new exploits for untethered iOS 5 jailbreak by sending them crash report data by using their own program that designed to work the same as iTunes. Apple discover and patched the exploits for untethered jailbreak by using this diagnostics data. By using the same way Apple does, Chronic dev team will help us to find untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0, iOS 5.0.1 (and upcoming iOS 5.0.2) as soon as possible.

This program will only send data that’s used by iTunes to send its own “crash report” to Apple. You can download this program on greenpois0n’s website.
There only mac beta version of this program available at the time we posted this news. The final and Windows version will be available within 24 hours.
