Jailbreak hacker Winocm announced today that he will be joining Apple later this year. Details on his position at the Cupertino company were not revealed, but we can safely assume it will remove him from the jailbreak scene.
I figured now is the right time to say this, I will be working at Apple starting later this year.

Winocm, along with iH8sn0w and SquiffyPwnm, are known for their work on the p0sixspwn jailbreak of iOS 6.1.3 through 6.1.5. The untethered 6.1.5 jailbreak caused a stir when it burned a valuable exploit that would have made jailbreaking future versions of iOS easier. The vulnerability they burned was uncovered by Comex and known for years by most in the jailbreak scene. The flaw was never used as it was considered a “one-of-a-kind” root execution and injection exploit.
Winocm isn’t the first one from the jailbreak community to make the move to Apple. Comex a.k.a Nicholas Allegra, the hacker behind the Spirit jailbreak and JailbreakMe 2.0, also took an internship at Apple in August 2011 ago.
